SOCIETY HILL CATFISH FESTIVAL -- THIS ANNUAL EVENT HAS NOT BEEN
CANCELLED FOR 2007, AS PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED. ORGANIZERS ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR
PARTICIPATION THIS YEAR.
Some folks come for the music. Some come for the vendors, crafts and games. Some
come to see their neighbors and friends. But just about ALL of them end up eating
some of the delicious catfish served under the big tent. The catfish stew is so
popular, in fact, that organizers start selling it in quarts and gallons the night
before the festival! The one-day event is held on the second Saturday in November
every year on the lawn of St. David's Academy, located on S. Main Street
(US 15/52/401) at the corner of St. David's Street. No admission charge. Handicap
accessible. Motorcoach parking available. For general information, send an email to
Ann
Breckenridge,
Kathy Clark or
Carol Davis, or call (843) 378-4700. After 5pm, call (843) 378-4221. For
